Defending the Majority
On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the congressional midterms will take place in the United States of America. The Republicans in the GOP will be looking to defend — and hopefully expand— their majorities in the Senate and the House of Representatives, while left-wing Democrats are fighting to regain control of Capitol Hill and halt the Trump administration's America First agenda. So, what are the key races taking place in November? What are the seats that Republicans must win? Let's take a look at two Senate elections that the GOP must win to defend its majority.
Kentucky: Andy Barr vs Charles Booker
First, the congressman from Kentucky's 6th Congressional District, Andy Barr, must defeat his Democratic challenger, Charles Booker, in the race to succeed Mitch McConnell as the Senator from the great state of Kentucky. Barr has earned the endorsement of President Trump and is coming off a dominant primary win over Kentucky's former Attorney General, Daniel Cameron. Barr won 60.5% of the primary vote, almost doubling his opponent. Andy Barr is an America First fighter in the House of Representatives, standing up for immigration enforcement, pro-life values, the protection of women’s sports, and, most importantly, the Christian faith. If elected to the Senate, Andy Barr will be a solid vote for President Trump’s agenda.
What is at stake if we lose this race? Barr’s opponent, Charles Booker, has pledged to fight and abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), raise taxes on American families, and stand against the Trump administration's policies. Fellow Kentuckians, this is a key election in November, so you must get out and vote for Andy Barr for U.S. Senate.
Texas: Ken Paxton vs James Talarico
Next, the U.S. Senate race in Texas between former Republican State Attorney General Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico is arguably the most important race of the midterms. Ken Paxton defeated the incumbent, John Cornyn, in a primary runoff on May 26, 2026, after originally losing to Cornyn in the first vote, where neither candidate reached the winning threshold. Ken Paxton earned President Trump's endorsement, joining Turning Point Action (a political advocacy group) to help him take down Cornyn in a primary that saw hundreds of millions of dollars spent on advertising. Ken Paxton is a right-wing patriot: he will not play establishment games, make backroom deals, or compromise with the left. He is running as a big supporter of passing the Save America Act and is advocating for the complete dismantling of DEI policies. Paxton will be a true conservative vote on the Hill.
Paxton’s opponent, James Talarico, may be the most dangerous politician to ever run for office. He claims that the Christian God has "6 genders" and is "non-binary." This is the danger: he speaks of false doctrine and truly believes in the sickness he is saying, and this must be kept out of Washington. Join the fight, knock on doors, make phone calls, chase ballots, spread awareness, and elect Ken Paxton as the next Senator from the state of Texas.
Both seats are currently held by Republicans, contributing to the 53-seat majority; however, Andy Barr and Ken Paxton will be much more reliable votes for the GOP than Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn as republicans look to advance their agenda. However, Barr and Paxton will not just be votes; they will be outspoken voices on the Senate floor. It is crucial that Republicans not only defend these seats but also replace the incumbents with America First freedom fighters.
